Heather contacted me to book a family lifestyle session because they wanted to celebrate their daughter, Alexandra's 1st birthday! So a week after she turned 1, we met at the Brighton beach huts and spent the afternoon together.

I knew when I'd meet my nephew that my heart would burst out of my chest.
I knew I'd cry and I knew that he'd be loved.
But what I didn't expect is the impact he would have on all of us. So quickly.
When I thought about our month and tried to think of what I could write about - all I could think of was 'roller-skating'. Inside the house, up and down the driveway, at the park, hugging the skates in the car, taking them to their Aunty and Uncles house, talking about them at dinner... They're literally obsessed and I'm dizzy! It all started when we found a perfectly sized pair of roller blades at the op shop for $5. Then the roller skates we're pulled from the cupboard when we got home so they could 'skate' together!

School started back and the morning rush has taken us longer to adjust to than it should. We're always late!
Our veggie garden (or more accurately, our eight year olds veggie garden) has taken off and we're all now well and truly sick of beans but excited about the pumpkins! She's convinced that we're going to be farmers.
We've said goodbye to three fish, including the favourite, 'Tuna' and it was highly likely due to a six year old who's been excitedly over feeding them...
We baked chocolate brownies. (The kids wanted me to write this in here as a highlight for the month because I NEVER bake brownies... It's better for everyone when I buy them at the supermarket...!)
