Every year - I look forward to and anticipate the chaos that November is for us.
Two girls - two years & 1 week apart. I wouldn't say that we planned that very well!
But what it does mean, is that we celebrate, A LOT in November.
This year, they turned six and eight. It has been weeks and weeks, months even of "how many sleeps now Mum?", "Am I nearly six?", "Turning eight is better than turning six you know!"....
I stepped away from my usual subjects last week and photographed a stunning home in Eltham styled by the very talented 'Alison Lewis Interiors' in Melbourne.
Photographing such beauty not only allowed for beautiful photos but also inspired me for my own home which in turn, has my husband a little bit worried! Read MoreThose first few days when you arrive home with your new baby feels like you're in a little love bubble doesn't it? Almost surreal, with time and routine thrown out the window while you try to soak in all that's new and magical and every moment seeming more precious than the last.
This newborn session reminded me so much of those early days with my eldest where it was just the three of us together, lost in the wonder and excitement of being first time parents.
I can't believe we are almost at the end of October already!
Highlights from this month have included a lost 'first' tooth and visit from the tooth fairy, a crazy dream about being chased by a corn cob on roller-skates which has since given us endless amusement and most excitedly - we have a walker! Another one. Gone are the days of putting him in one spot and keeping him there because not only has he learned to walk this month, he's also learnt to climb - on, up and around EVERYTHING! The window ledge is his new favourite standing spot as he shouts "bird, bird!" every times he sees one and given the opportunity, he can escape out the front door quicker than I could for a kid free night out!
